How does Mahjong Time Play scoring work
Mahjong is not just a game of attentiveness and speed, but also a true art of combinations. The more complex and rare the combination you make, the more points you get. There are several scoring systems in the game, but the basis remains the same: the quality of the combinations = more points = more chances to win.
Main Types of Scoring:
πΉ Standard Win β Basic win when the player forms a valid combination and declares “Mahjong”.
+10 points
πΉ Dragon or Wind Pong β Three identical tiles of one of the dragons (red, green, white) or winds (north, south, etc.).
+10β20 points depending on the type.
πΉ Pure Suit β All tiles belong to the same suit (for example, only “bamboo”).
+40β80 points β for the complexity and rarity of such a hand.
πΉ Secret Hand β Special combinations, for example, a full hand of Pong combinations without the participation of other players.
+50 or more points.
πΉ Self-Draw β If the player draws the final tile himself, and does not take it from the opponent’s discard β
The score is multiplied by 2 (x2 bonus).
What happens after a win?
When a player wins a round, the opponents either:
βοΈ Transfer the points that were accrued for the winning hand to him,
or π΅ pay out the bets according to the system established in the game.
This depends on the format β traditional or tournament.
Mahjong variations - different systems, common goal
Regardless of which version of Mahjong you play (classic, Japanese, Hong Kong, etc.), the principle remains the same: the first to make a βMahjongβ or to collect the most valuable combination by points wins.
